Your data stays yours.

1. Who holds your data

Career Move is operated by Appel Solutions LLC d/b/a Career Move, an Oklahoma limited liability company. Questions about privacy: [email protected].

2. What we collect

You provide directly:

• Account information: name, email, password (stored hashed).
• Job-search data: roles you track, applications, resumes and resume versions, cover letters, interview notes, answer-bank entries, follow-up tasks.
• Payment information is handled by our hosted checkout provider (Stripe); we never see or store your card number.

Through connected features (with your authorization):

• Job-alert emails forwarded to or ingested by the Career Move intake pipeline (the intake reads the emails you send it to extract role listings — it does not read your inbox).
• No other integrations at launch (no calendar, LinkedIn, or similar connections).

Automatically:

• Basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service (sign-in events, error logs). No third-party analytics at launch.

3. How we use it

Your data is used only to provide, maintain, and improve the Career Move service for you:

• Powering the pipeline, resume tailoring, interview prep, and reminders you asked for.
• Operating support when you contact us.
• Detecting abuse and keeping the service secure.

What we do not do:

• We never sell your data. There is no advertising business; there is no data-broker business.
• We do not share your job-search data with third parties except the infrastructure providers required to run the service — currently Cloudflare, Supabase, Zoho Mail, Resend, and (only when you use an AI feature) Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 (Meta Model API) — provider list re-verified at launch. Each provider is bound to use it only for that purpose.
• We do not use your resumes, applications, or job-search activity to train models for anyone else.
• Aggregated, anonymized product metrics (e.g., "X% of members activated in week one") may inform internal decisions, consistent with the Stephanie HQ data contract: aggregates only, no raw user records — never in a form attributable to you.

AI features — Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 (Meta Model API)

Career Move's AI features — resume tailoring, fit analysis, and interview coaching — run on Meta's Muse Spark 1.3 (Meta Model API), the AI provider for Career Move. All AI processing is server-side only, through the paid Meta Model API account held by Appel Solutions LLC. AI features are optional and off by default: they run only when you choose to use one. When you run an AI feature, the content you select for it (your resume text, the job details you are tailoring against, and your instructions) is sent to Meta to generate your output, and only for that purpose.

• Meta does not use data sent through the API to train its models.
• We never send your data through free or unpaid AI tiers.
• AI output is a draft for your review. AI does not submit applications, send messages, or contact anyone on your behalf — you approve and submit everything yourself.
• Zero Data Retention has been requested from Meta for the Appel Solutions LLC account (submitted 2026-10-13, and Meta confirmed receipt). Until Zero Data Retention is confirmed for the account, no member data is processed by Meta.

4. Your rights — including the no-silent-deletion rule

Standing P0 rule: we never silently discard your data.

• Access: request a copy of everything we hold about you at any time.
• Correction: fix anything inaccurate.
• Export: download your full job-search data (roles, resumes, applications, notes) in a portable format at any time, including after cancellation.
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and data. On deletion we remove your data from production systems within 30 days, except where law requires retention (we will say so in writing). Backups age out on their normal cycle.
• On cancellation: your data is not deleted when you cancel. You keep full access through the paid period, and afterward your data remains available for export for at least 90 days before any deletion — with notice first. Nothing disappears silently.

5. Retention

• Active account data is retained while your account exists.
• Deleted-account data: removed per Section 4 above.
• Operational/security logs: retained 12 months, then purged.
• Financial records (receipts, invoices) are retained per tax-law requirements — these are the Company's records, not your job-search data.

6. Security

• Data in transit encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Data at rest encrypted by our hosting providers.
• Access to production data is limited to Stephanie Appel (the operator) on a need-to-know basis; credentials stored in a password manager with MFA.
• We do not ask for your email password or full inbox access — the intake works on emails you forward, not on your mailbox.
• No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly with what happened and what we are doing — there is no silent-breach policy.

7. Children

Career Move is for job seekers and is not directed at children under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

Material changes get 30 days' notice in-product and by email before taking effect. The version in effect at the time your data was collected governs that data unless you consent to the new terms.
